COMMENTS: In August '72 Bowie staged a couple of special shows known as "The Ziggy Stardust Shows", including the Lindsey Kemp mime troup and a specially built stage. This is a release of the only known tape of one of these shows. The sound quality is so-so, but it doesn't matter. The tape ends in the beginning of MOONAGE DAYDREAM, and I'm sure that at least ROCK'N'ROLL SUICIDE was played too? The bonus tracks are mostly BBC recordings, but some studio outtakes as well. One song has never been available on disc before, and that is SOMETHING HAPPENS. It sounds like it was recorded around '71. The other odd song is DON'T BE AFRAID, which only has been available on the LP STARDUST FROM THE 70'S (1984) before. Here it is presented in better sound quality. The three last songs are not mentioned on the cover. A great Australian release!
